If an electric stove does not ignite, check if the stove is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the stove power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit in the oven, then another part of the oven will need to be replaced. The reason for the issue could be the infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or broil and bake element.
A burner or stove or oven with no heat does not do much. Your oven does not heat if there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. Your burner does not ignite when an element is broken or if the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We can troubleshoot and fix these problems in less than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.
You can assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken when the program or timer functions don’t work. In this case, we can fix control boards on Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and several other brands of ovens, ranges and stoves. We offer a warranty on all of the control boards and replacement parts we install for this stove repair service.
You always should have a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the oven heat is too hot, it could be because of an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians are able to find the cause of the problem and fix it. Be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the high and unpredictable heat.
A common stove problem is when an igniter glows but it doesn’t light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We can determine if we can repair these parts or if we will have to replace the parts.
New self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door issues often. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door latch, thermostat and seal to identify why the door does not open and then we complete the repair in order to correct the issue.
